A Lifetime of Machining Experience
Machining has been part of my life for more than four decades. I began learning the trade in school in 1984 and entered the machining industry professionally in 1986. Over the years, I've worked in multiple Dayton-area machine shops, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of machining environments, customer needs, and production challenges.
How the Shop Came To Be
My interest in machining comes from a natural aptitude for understanding how things work and how parts fit together. After decades in the industry, I opened my shop in 2020. In 2026, I expanded by purchasing another shop to broaden capabilities and offer more variety in the projects I take on. Van Nuys Machining is the result of that growth - a small, capable shop built on skill, adaptability, and genuine care for the work.

Why I Started Van Nuys Machining
After years in large machine shops, I wanted to build something of my own - a place where customers receive the communication, care, and attention to detail they deserve. I wanted to create a shop that provides for my life, supports others, and builds a legacy I can be proud of.
Outside the Shop
When I am not machining, you'll find me outdoors - hunting, fishing, fixing things, and enjoying hands-on activities that have always come naturally. I also love playing Euchre, spending time with loved ones, and being outdoors whenever I can. Whether I'm in the shop or out in the woods, I am staying connected to the things that matter most.
